Product Review: Be Berry Smooth Peel Off MaskOn one of my Target runs, I came across this product (and many other Formula 10.0.6 products) due to the bright and colorful packaging. I rarely sheet mask nowadays, but was looking for something somewhat hydrating. This Be Berry Smooth one sounded like it would do the trick, and it being a peel off mask, made it more economical (it was only ~$7 at Target).Disclosure: I bought this with my own money from Target. I was not given anything in exchange for this review. I enjoy doing product reviews to share my own experiences with the product and hope someone finds it useful. I do not work for Formula 10.0.6 or Target. Designed with a vibrant sense of style, Formula 10.0.6 has a unique youthful confidence that is warm, friendly and fun. The range offers an honest and uncomplicated approach to skin care, created for achievable complexion perfection. Products are formulated with a familiar mix of botanicals to deliver a range of accessible, effective and easy to use products to promote clear and healthy skin." Product Description: Basically the product is a mask loaded with blueberry antioxidants plus invigorating pineapple, that when peeled off, reveals soft and comfortably hydrated (but not overly so like a sheet mask) skin to the touch. Product Claims: Not too much is written about the product to be honest, but from its name of “Be Berry Smooth”, I pretty much expected a mask that would act as kind of a clay mask/exfoliating mask hybrid. The peel off function alone sounds like the mask would help draw out some of the impurities from your skin (hence all the antioxidants), and the actual action of peeling it off, would gently remove some of the dead skin cells lying on your face. How To Use: After cleansing (and also after using a wipe-off toner if you choose), apply a fairly generous layer on skin. I personally focused on some areas that I felt could use some extra antioxidant action. Try to apply the product as evenly as possible so that it will be easier to remove. Leave on your face for about 10 minutes and then slowly peel off starting from your jaw line. You can gently wash or wipe off any remaining excess with water/toner if needed. I usually just continued on with the rest of my skincare routine after peeling (I don’t have any leftover product). Be Berry Smooth Peel Off Mask: What’s Inside?Notable Ingredients:

R05-16 Packaging, Scent & TexturePackaging:Formula 10.0.6 are very millennial-looking (Instagrammable) with their bright contrasting colors and fold font choices. I really do appreciate how the product comes in an easy-to-squeeze tube, as a lot of masks come in jars which some aren’t a big fan of for sanitary reasons. The actual tube itself is also fairly slim and isn’t as "bubbly" as some other skincare products that come in a tube (like most cleansers for example). The purple color itself, serves as a visual cue for us to expect that this product contains berries and is loaded in antioxidants. Scent & Texture: It does smell like grapes/berries. For the texture, it is kind of thick and goopy, kind of a like a semi-transparent purple glue. It is pretty much sticky like glue. Does The Formula 10.0.6 Really Make You Be Berry Smooth?Performance:The product pretty much does what it says. Now if you are more oily/acne-prone, I don’t think the product will do much in that aspect (at least I wouldn’t expect it to). I used this on my boyfriend who was experiencing a breakout on his forehead, and while this did make the pimple a little less severe looking, an actual product designed for acne would better treat the issue. However, this product is good for ongoing maintenance on your skin and when you just want a little pick-me-up. Formula 10.0.6. Does have the product Be Berry Clear specifically for minimizing pores and flare ups in a peel off mask. Pros:
A Queen Helene Grape Seed Extract AlternativeFinal Impressions:If you’ve ever heard of/used the Queen Helene version, this is pretty much like that but with nicer packaging, better ingredients, and probably easier to find as well. If you like a little bit of fun in your skincare (like me), but also want something that actually has good ingredients, you might want to check this product out. You can’t lose too much when this product is so affordable (it probably costs as much a one high quality sheet mask). I will most likely repurchase this product when done (or at least look into other Formula 10.0.6 products). Final Rating = 3/5 Other Peel Off MasksSimilar Products:I offer you some suggestions for similar products if you are still interested in general for a peeling-type of mask.
